Robert Ward

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Robert Howard "Bob" Ward, 64, of Sikeston died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 1, 1936, at Lilbourn, Mo., son of Howard B. and Martha Lucille Campbell Ward. He and Betty L. Alexander were married Aug. 1, 1958, in Vanduser, Mo.

Ward was a self-employed electrician, plumbing and heating contractor. He was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Shawn Ward of Sikeston; and a sister, Mary Jane Nunnelee of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Revs. Marvin and Matthew Butrum will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston, Mo.
