TAMMS, Ill. -- Robert "Bob" Wallis, 86, of Dellrose, Tenn., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 1995, at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1909, in Martin, Tenn., son of Henry A. and Elinora D. Deaton Wallis. He and Frances Mosley were married Feb. 4, 1937.
Wallis retired as a sheet metal worker at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. They moved to this area in 1974. He had served as treasurer of Tamms and also served on the Tamms Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Herbison of Dellrose, Frances Coates of Fairborn, Ohio; a son, Robert Wallis of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today, and Sunday until service time.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.
