ROBERT W. SAMPLE

SCOTT CITY - Bollinger County native Robert W. Sample, of Corona, Calif., died Thursday, May 9, 1991, at Corona Community Hospital. He was 74.

Among his survivors are his mother, "Janie" Ferrell of Lutesville and a step-sister, Mary Ann McEwing of Scott City.

Sample was born Nov. 22, 1916, to Ella Jane Yount Sample Ferrell and the late A.L. Sample. He retired from General Dynamics in California and was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel.

Surviving in addition to his mother and step-sister are his wife, Frances Sample of Corona, Calif.; daughters Jane Kuhne of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Sue Waldo of Kennewick, Wash.; a sister, Mildred Bucchichio of Pierre, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

One sister preceded him in death.
