ROBERT W. PODDIG SR.

TAMMS, Ill. -- Robert W. Poddig Sr., 52, of St. Peters, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1994, at Barnes/St. Peters Hospital.

He was born Oct. 10, 1941, in East St. Louis, son of Walter Victor and Ruth Alice Rowland Poddig. He and Betty Jean Baine were married June 16, 1972.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ruth Hays of Patton, Mo., Kathryn Poddig of St. Peters; three sons, Robert Jr. and Ronald Poddig of O'Fallon, Mo., William Poddig of St. Peters; his stepmother, Freda Poddig of St. Louis; a sister, Trudy Slade of Cahokia; three brothers, George Poddig of Springfield, Mo., Roy Poddig of Arnold, Mo., Gary Poddig of Tahlequah, Okla., and a stepsister, Susan Schmidt of Fenton.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. David Spriggs will officiate, with burial in McCrite Cemetery.
