ROBERT W. HILL

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Robert W. Hill of Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Richard Hertenstein officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. Wednesday, and at the church after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Hill, 69, died Monday, Dec. 11, 1995, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Anna, son of John and Mary E. "Tootie" Walton Hill. He and Dee Smith were married Feb. 12, 1949. She died Jan. 31, 1995.

Hill operated Hill Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Church, served on Anna Fire Department 41 years, and was a member of the executive board of Coal Belt Fire Protective Association.

Survivors include a son, Richard Hill of Jonesboro; a daughter, Annelise Hill of Anna; his mother of Anna; two grandsons, and a great-granddaughter.

A brother died as a result of the same accident.
