PERRYVILLE -- A memorial service for Robert V. Pirrie of Perryville will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. James Duncan officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

Pirrie, 52 years old, was killed Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1990, when the airplane he was piloting crashed near Dutchtown.

He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Cody, Wyo., son of Melvin V. and Anne McCarty Pirrie. His mother, of Pollock Pines, Calif., survives.

He married Sue L. Howell May 8, 1965. She also survives.

Pirrie owned and operated Pirrie and Associates Land Surveyors of Perryville. He was Ward 2 alderman in Perryville and president of the Perryville Board of Aldermen.

He was a member of the Perryville Optimists Club and the Perryville Elks Lodge. He was Ste. Genevieve County surveyor, a past president of the Missouri Association of Registered Land Surveyors, and edited its newsletter. He also was past president of Missouri Mappers.

Other survivors are daughters, Misty D. Tarrillion, Andrea Y. Pirrie and Shawn M. Pirrie, all of Perryville; brothers, Patrick Pirrie, Cuba, Mo., and Michael Pirrie, Las Vegas, Nev.; and two grandchildren.
