SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Robert E. Tetley will be held at 2 p.m. today at Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ted Wimberly officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Tetley, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in St. Louis, son of Robert Earl and Susie Bell Martin Tetley Sr. He and Shirley J. Evans were married June 20, 1947.
Tetley was a farmer. He introduced Charolais cattle to this area in the 1960s. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny Tetley of Kelso; two daughters, Patricia Haeussler of Rockwall, Texas and Marian Malone of Sikeston; a brother, Martin Tetley of St. Louis; a sister, Margaret Crews of Jefferson City; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
