Graveside service for Robert Teddy "R.T." Smith of Scott City will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lightner Memorial Cemetery. Brian McCallister will officiate.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Smith, 71, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born March 13, 1931, at Birchtree, Mo., son of Robert Oslo and Edith Howard Smith. He and Mabel Ruth Wiseman were married Oct. 8, 1955, at Lilbourn, Mo.
Smith was a former over-the-road truck driver with Elfrink Truck Lines in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Teamsters Local 574 in Cape Girardeau.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Barry Allen of Arnold, Mo., Terry and Mike Smith of Scott City; a daughter, Lisa McGill of Jackson; two brothers, Jerry Smith of Alpharetta, Ga., Conley Alcorn of Malden, Mo.; four sisters, Jo Ann Singleton of Fulton, Mo., Lura Richards of Richland, Mo., Wilma Newell of Crown Point, Ind., Sue Christy of Hannibal, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, and a brother.
