ROBERT PENNINGTON

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Robert N. Pennington, 71, of Sikeston died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1929, in Butler County, Mo., son of W.N. and Pearl Merritt Pennington. He and Dorothy Inez Reeves were married April 11, 1953, in New Madrid County, Mo.

Pennington was a member of Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 114 and a former member of Sikeston Rotary Club and Dexter Masonic Lodge 532 AF&AM.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; and a daughter, Tonia Pennington of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Davis and the Rev. Sandra Schaller will officiate.

Friends may call Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until service time.
