Robert J. "Son" Mouser, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 22, 1999, at his home. Born Nov. 8, 1928, in Sikeston, he was the son of Benjamin F. and Della P. Knighton Mouser. Robert J. "Son" Mouser, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 22, 1999, at his home.

Born Nov. 8, 1928, in Sikeston, he was the son of Benjamin F. and Della P. Knighton Mouser.

Mouser was a farmer in the Sikeston and New Madrid area and also worked for the sanitation department in Scott City. He moved to Cape Girardeau 20 years ago.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by three brothers, Amos Mouser of Belleville, Ill., Ben H. Mouser of St. Louis and Frank D. Mouser of Cahokia, Ill.; three sisters, Pearl Johnson of Jonesboro, Ark., Rives Huchens of Francisco, Ind., and Tilda Burton of St. Louis

Mouser was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
