Robert Ivan Morrow, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born May 22, 1922, in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of Howard Raymond and Rosella Faulkenstein Morrow. He and Nancy Vandivort were married in June 1941. She died June 25, 1988.

Morrow received a degree in business administration from Ohio State University.

He was president and CEO of Oxford Chemical Co. more than 15 years; had owned and operated Southeast Datsun, and owned Morrow Properties Inc. in Cape Girardeau more than 30 years, and owned and operated the family farm near Jackson, Mo.

Morrow was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Downtown Rotary, Cape Shrine Club, Tower Club, VFW Post 3838, Elks Lodge, Eagles Aerie, and 32nd Degree member of St. Mark's Masonic Lodge. He was a former member of Chamber of Commerce, past president of Cape Shrine Club and Downtown Rotary, and was past district governor of Rotary District 6090.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from January 1943 to April 1946. He played basketball at Ohio State University and while in the Air Force.

Survivors include a son, Robert C. Morrow of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Nancy Engel of Hillsboro, Mo.; a brother, Richard Morrow of Chicago; a sister, Jean McCoy of Severna Park, Md.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-6 p.m. Saturday.

Private graveside service will be held Sunday.
