ROBERT MCMIKLE

EAST PRAIRIE -- Robert Frank McMikle, 82, of East Prairie died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born Oct. 27, 1916, in East Prairie, son of Ernest T. and Alpha Omega Lucas McMikle. He and Pauline Sisk were married Feb. 14, 1948, in Hernando, Miss.

McMikle retired as an auditor with Missouri Division of Employment Service. He was a member of Dogwood United Methodist Church and a certified lay speaker.

He served in the U.S. Navy, and also served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry McMikle of Sikeston; a daughter, Carol McMikle of Sikeston; a sister, Doris Montgomery of Park Hills; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Carr officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
