THEBES, Ill. -- Robert Thomas McCain, 76, of Thebes died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 15, 1926, at New Wells, son of Robert and Bertha Hargraves McCain. He and Kathleen Sater were married in 1956. She preceded him in death June 22, 1992.
Mr. McCain owned and operated a pest control business. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include four sons, Robert McCain of McClure, Ill., Russell Sater of Denver, Colo., Kevin McCain and Kirk McCain of Thebes; four daughters, Linda Cruce and Susan Snelson of Cairo, Ill., Saundra Prater and Cindy May of Thebes; a sister, Sylvia Edwards of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Alfred McCain of Tamms, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and six brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Darrell Faire Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
