OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Robert Lee Shrodes, 81, of Olive Branch, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at the home of his daughter in Tamms, Ill.
Shrodes was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Bardwell, Ky., son of Henry Boyd and Ersie B. Watson Shrodes. He was married to Maudie Mae Shrodes, who preceded him in death.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired employee of a copper plant. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sloss of Cahokia, Ill., and Darlene Webb of Tamms, Ill.; a brother, James Shrodes of Wickliffe, Ky.; a sister, Myrtle Phillips of Jefferson City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., after 10 a.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Ky.
