RANDLES -- Robert "Butch" Lancaster Sr., 81, of Randles died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 7, 1918, at Bell City, son of Bill and Clara Simmons Lancaster. He and Clarisa Stewart were married July 19, 1941, at Heagy.
He was a retired merchant in Randles and had worked for 15 years with Missouri Electric at Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include five sons, Robert Lancaster Jr. of Overland, Wesley Dean Lancaster of Villa Ridge, Lesley Jean Lancaster of Bloomfield, Dennis Ray Lancaster of Randles and Alan Eric Lancaster of Sikeston; a grandson, Larry Wayne Lancaster of the home; two brothers, Jim Lancaster of Chaffee and Jack Lancaster of Randles; two sisters, Betty Fortune of Kenny, Ill., and Barbara Cook of Whitewater; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, five sisters, five brothers and a granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4:45 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Morgan Funeral Home at Advance.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jack Owens will officiate, with burial to follow at the Williams Cemetery at Perkins. Military rites will be given at the cemetery.
