SILVA -- Robert L. White, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1996, at John Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Jan. 12, 1919, at Silva to Samuel and Nellie Lutes White. He married Theda Farmer on Oct. 1, 1960.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the Missouri State Highway Department.
He was of the Baptist faith and was an original member and bass singer of the Ozark Harmony Boys Southern Gospel Quartet.
Survivors are his wife, and a son, Robert White Jr. of Jackson. He was preceded in death by a brother, sister and half-sister.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenny Burchard officiating. VFW military rites and burial will follow at McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glen Allen.
