DONGOLA, Ill. -- Robert L. Lannom, 70, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1992, at Life Care Center in Jonesboro.
He was born July 2, 1922, in Marion, son of Grover Cleveland and Hassel Tina Adams Lannom. He and Shirley Jerolds were married Jan. 25, 1941. She died May 25, 1977.
Lannom was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455, Anna Moose Lodge, and Pulaski-Alexander Sportsman's Club. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Georgianna Tucker of Buncombe, Roseanna Stiver of Madison, Ind., Vickie Hileman of Anna; three sons, Arlie Lannom of Lockport, Robert and Bruce Lannom of Dongola; four sisters, Ruth Thetford of Chicago, Ethenell Thetford of Marion, Wilma Daniels of Fort Myers, Fla., Orpha Lowery of Creal Springs; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with Everett Frizzell officiating. Burial will be in McGinnis Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3455.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
