SIKESTON -- Robert Lee Garner, 76, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, June 17, 1992, at his home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Columbia, S.C., son of Walter and Mary Jane Gainey Garner. He and Lola B. Leavitt were married April 14, 1950, in Boise, Idaho.
Garner was a retired truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army 1936-39 and 1941-43. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Garner, address unknown; a stepson, Lloyd Leavitt of Springfield, tenn.; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a stepson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Latter Day Saints Church.
