ROBERT L. ADAMS

ANNA, Ill. -- Robert L. Adams, 67, of Anna, formerly of Dongola, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 7, 1925 in Dongola, son of Clarence P. and Clemma Mae Toler Adams.

He worked as an insurance agent for over 30 years. The last 27 years he worked for Country Companies Insurance.

He was member of Anna VFW Post 3455, Union-Jackson County Port Authority, the Southern Illinois Association of Life Underwriters.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Dongola Church of Christ.

He is survived by one daughter, Bobbie McCommons, Dongola; three sons, Bennie Adams, Belknap, Gary and Chris Adams, both of Anna; two step-sisters, Helen Tate and Mary Webb, both of Vienna; and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Burial will follow in Dongola American Legion Cemetery. Military rites at graveside will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster 3455 Anna VFW Post.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
