Funeral for Robert Carl Kiehne of St. Charles will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Kiehne, 81, died Thursday, April 27, 2000 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

He was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert C. and Freida Siemers Kiehne. He and Velma B. Godwin were married Aug. 15, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. She died Nov. 9, 1994.

Kiehne had been a forklift operator at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis. He had lived in St. Charles more than 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army from February 1942-October 1945.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Kiehne of St. Charles; a sister, Ruby Moore of Ballwin; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
