Robert "Bob" Kelso, 70, of Jackson went to be with Jesus on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1945, in Cape Girardeau to the late Cleo Wade and Avis Steakley Kelso. He married Pamela Arnold on July 15, 1971.

He was a calendar operator for 20 years at Ludlow/Recticel in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church and was baptized at First Assembly of God in Chaffee, Missouri. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, Missouri Tiger football and basketball, fishing and hunting arrowheads.

Family was very important to Bob. He loved to be with his kids, grandkids, nephews and nieces, and his dogs were really special to him. Most of all, he spent special time with Jesus, which was highlight beyond measure.

He is survived by his wife, Pam; a son, Shannon (Jackie) Kelso of Chaffee; a daughter, Jessica (Kurt) Hicks of Fruitland; a brother, David (Jackie) Kelso of Scott City; a sister, Phyllis (Donny) Ford of Pocahontas; six grandchildren, Garrett, Briahn, Sydney, Abbey Kelso, Madelyn and Reagan Hicks; and two great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Mitchell Kennedy, and a great-granddaughter due in April.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
