ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Robert L. "Bob" Holderfield, 63, of Alto Pass, died Tuesday, July 16, 1996, at his home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Cairo, son of Raymond and Alverda Pearman Holderfield. He and Helen Louise Bennett were married Aug. 10, 1956, in Cobden.
Holderfield was owner/operator of Holderfield Construction Co. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Robert "Bob" and Anthony "Tony" Holderfield, both of Anna, Matthew Holderfield of Cobden; two daughters, Melissa Hicks and Lori Godwin of Pomona; three brothers, Raymond Holderfield Jr. of Evansville, Paul Holderfield of Herrin, Ernest Holderfield of Cobden; four sisters, Mary Brimm of Cobden, Della Petty of Jonesboro, Earline Highfield of Pasadena, Texas, Brenda Russell of Pana, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bill Vandergrap and Greg Wright officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery, with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna.
