Robert Moore Harrison, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 5, 1997, at his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1927, at Benton, son of Lyman and Ruby F. Moore Harrison. He and Patricia Ann Dannenmueller were married Sept. 14, 1978, in St. Louis.
Harrison graduated from high school at Benton, where he played basketball and baseball. He attended Southeast Missouri State University and then transferred to the University of Missouri-Rolla where he received a degree in civil engineering.
He was a licensed professional engineer and operated Robert M. Harrison and Associates in St. Louis and currently in Cape Girardeau. He owned his firm more than 40 years and his sons are both engineers and are associated with the business.
Harrison moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1972 from St. Louis. He was a member of Missouri Association of Registered Land Surveyors, Craftsman Independent Union 1, and St. Vincent's Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Harrison of St. Charles, David Harrison of St. Louis; two daughters, Carolyn Moellenhoff of St. Louis, Maureen Schallers of Union, Ky.; a sister, Mary Hoskins of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
