Robert Hansen

Robert Joseph Hansen Sr., 75, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Camanche, Iowa, son of Walter and Pauline Mercer Hansen. He and Alice Marie Schafer were married Sept. 3, 1961.

Hansen served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 10, 1952, to Aug. 31, 1960.

He worked for the former Ozark Airlines and later TWA 35 years, retiring in 1986.

Hansen attended Berean Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Hansen Jr. of Jackson; a daughter, Julie Foltz of Tamms, Ill.; a brother, Walt Hansen of Des Moines, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Thebeau officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with graveside military honors.
