ROBERT GREEN

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert A. Green, 77, of Perryville died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 9, 1923, at Sikeston, son of Walker E. and Essie Daniels Green. He and Glenda "Lindy" Niswonger were married Aug. 27, 1944, at Perryville.

Green was a retired material planner at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, and was active in American Legion Post 133. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and attended First Baptist Church in Perryville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin Green of Dallas, Tex., and Michael Green of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Joyce Olinga of Chicago, Ill., Trish Hendon of Banning, Ca., and Susan Hawkins of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Walker "Gene" Green of Green Reno, Nev.; one sister, Nadine Barnett of Dupo, Ill.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30-9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Perryville. The Rev. Dennis Cebulak will officiate, with burial at Home Cemetary. American Legion Post 133 will conduct a military graveside service.
