ANNA, Ill. -- Mr. Robert "Bob" Franklin Fuller, 80, of Anna, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at the City Care Center in Anna.
He was born Nov. 30, 1928, at Cobden, Ill., the son of Robart Franklin and Virgie Mae Verble Fuller. He was married to Betty Lou Carlile, who preceded him in death March 24, 1993. He later was married to Norma McCann on April 11, 1999.
Bob is survived by his wife, Norma Fuller of Anna; three children, Wade Fuller, LeAnn (Jim) Petty and Beth (Tim) Sizemore, all of Cape Girardeau; three stepchildren, Paula (Fred) Stearns of Anna, Heidi (David) Basler of Cobden and Mark McCann of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Eloise (Chet) Lindsey of Harrisburg, Ill.; a brother, Jim (Dot) Fuller of Jonesboro, Ill.; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Lou and two sons, Scott and Mike Fuller.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cobden and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 93 in Cape Girardeau. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He owned and operated Bob's Shoe Service in Cape Girardeau from 1953 until his retirement.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral services for Robert Franklin Fuller will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Allen Speer officiating. Interment will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the TIP Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
