Robert L. "Bob" Eldridge, 72, of Prattville, Ala., died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004. He was born Jan. 5, 1932, at Millersville, son of William and Blanche Eldridge. Eldridge served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a military policeman. He received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, master's degree in education at the University of Missouri, and did post graduate work at the University of Missouri, University of Minnesota, University of Kentucky, Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.. ...

Robert L. "Bob" Eldridge, 72, of Prattville, Ala., died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004.

He was born Jan. 5, 1932, at Millersville, son of William and Blanche Eldridge.

Eldridge served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a military policeman.

He received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, master's degree in education at the University of Missouri, and did post graduate work at the University of Missouri, University of Minnesota, University of Kentucky, Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Eldridge participated in the National Elementary Principals Association program, and had been active in the National Secondary School Principals Association.

He was a member of Elmore County, Ala., Education Association, Alabama Education Association, National Education Association, and Alabama Association of School Psychologists.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; a son, Martin; a daughter, Rebecca; a sister, Joan Malone of Jackson; and a brother, Billy Eldridge of Woodville, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Prattville Memorial Chapel.
