ROBERT E. WINDER

PERRYVILLE -- Robert E. Winder, 64, of Perryville died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 23, 1934, at Cape Girardeau to Robert and Nettie Niswonger Winder.

He married Vera Shepard on April 14, 1974, at Rockford, Ill.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his mother of Jackson; his wife of Perryville; four sons, Bobby Winder of Loves Park, Ill., Bill E. Winder of Rockford, Ill., Mike Winder of Freeport, Ill., and Tim Clevenz of Perryville; two daughters, Rhonda Torrez of Loves Park and Tina Winder of Freeport; three brothers, Paul Winder of Crystal City, Earl Winder of Osage Beach and Charles Winder of Oak Ridge; two sisters, Peggy McLain of Oran and Pat Green of Greenbriar; two foster children, Karen and Paul Munier of Ozora; and 11 grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
