Robert E. Ramsey, 66, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Dec. 4, 1995, at his home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, son of Benjamin Edward and Gussie Mae Rash Ramsey. He and Dorothy Borchelt were married Oct. 5, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.
Ramsey was an electrician 47 years with IBEW Local 1, retiring in 1991. He was a member and past master of St. Mark Masonic Lodge 93 AF&AM, member of Moolah Temple, St. Louis Scottish Rite, and Knight York Cross of Honor.
He was past high priest of Wilson Chapter 75, past illustrious master of Cape Council 20, and past commander of Cape Commandery 55.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert Ramsey of Jackson, Bill Ramsey of Pharr, Texas, David Ramsey of Millersville; two daughters, Patricia Hyde of Houston, Texas, Teresa Ramsey of Jackson; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. James Zink officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
