ROBERT E. HEDGER

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Robert E. Hedger, 65, of Mounds, died Sunday, June 4, 1995, at his home.

He was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Springfield, son of Frank and Eunice Skaggs Hedger.

Hedger was a registered pharmacist and had owned Hedger's Pharmacy in Mounds until retiring.

He was a graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Mounds VFW Post 8891, and Caledonia Masonic Lodge 47 in Pulaski. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, William and Richard Hedger of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Blanche Curtis of Mounds, Lorraine Shumaker of Villa Ridge, and a brother, Vernon Hedger of Portsmouth, R.I.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 5 p.m. today. Masonic service by Caledonia Lodge 47 will be at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery, with graveside rites by Mounds VFW Post 8891.
