ROBERT E. BREWER

PERRYVILLE -- Robert E. Brewer, 77, of Perryville, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at Perry Oaks Nursing Center.

He was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Perryville, son of Emmett and Olivia Pittman Brewer. He and Elaine Giesler were married Nov. 30, 1940.

Brewer was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Holy Name Society, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and a 3rd Degree with Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bonnie Ernst of St. Charles; a son, John Brewer of St. Louis; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two children and a brother.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The wake and KC service will be at 7 tonight, followed by the American Legion service at 8. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
