PERRYVILLE - Robert E. Boxdorfer, 57, of Perryville, died Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
He was born in Perry County on Sept. 8, 1936, to Fred and Edna Klobe Boxdorfer. He survives.
Boxdorfer married Nancy Weisbrod. She survives, along with two daughters, Debbie Moore and Renee Thompson, both of Perryville; two brothers, Floyd Boxdorfer of Perryville and Roy Boxdorfer of Arnold; three sisters, Hallie Pourney, Wilda Favier, and Margie Hudson, all of Perryville. Four grandchildren also survive.
Boxdorfer owned and operated the City Tavern in Perryville and B & T Construction Company. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Perryville, and a member of VFW Post 4282, Amvets Post 94, Elks Lodge 2701, and River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m., today, and after 6:30 a.m., on Monday, at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral services will be held Monday, at 1 p.m., at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
