STURDIVANT -- Robert P. Dalton, 62, of Sturdivant died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 16, 1936, at Sturdivant, son of Russell and Viola Kirkpatrick Dalton. He and Idres Cox were married Aug. 19, 1955, at Marble Hill.

Dalton was a truck driver for Bollinger County 30 years. He was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Advance.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert and Michael Dalton of Jackson; a brother, James Dalton of Jackson; two sisters, Shirley Duncan and Betty Martin of Dexter; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. J.D. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
