Robert G. "Cowboy" Craft, 81, of Jackson died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Life Care Centers in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 15, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, to Seth and Mary Eaker Craft.
Craft retired from General Motors in 1988 after 22 years of employment. He was a very active outdoorsman, enjoying horseback riding and was a racing enthusiast. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church at Pocahontas and the Old Timers Riding Club.
Survivors include a son, Michael Craft of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Tava Craft of Cape Girardeau; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Halter and Virginia Feverston; and a brother, Jack Craft.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to New Bethel Cemetery Fund.
