ST. CHARLES, Mo. --Robert "Bobby" Chitty, 77, of St. Charles, formerly of Scott City, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at his home.
He was born March 26, 1927, in Fornfelt, Mo., son of Walter and Ema Foster Chitty. He and Evelyn Demzik were married Nov. 3, 1979, in St. Louis.
Chitty was employed by Kato Light Co. as a salesman. He served in the U.S. Navy. He served as past president in the West County Rotary Club Mended Hearts of St. John's Mercy Hospital. He was a member of Green Trails Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dian Klingman of LaPorte, Texas, Bonnie Doczy of Springboro, Ohio; a brother, Carlos Chitty of Scott City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Krieghauser West Mortuary in St. Louis.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forever Bellerive Cemetery at Creve Coeur, Mo.
