BENTON -- Robert Charles Michael, 77, Benton Route 1, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 19, 1914, in Booneville, Miss., son of Clarence H. and Mintie Jane Michael.
On April 7, 1934, he married Bernice Loraine Hooper. She died Oct. 7, 1960. He then married June Russell Belk Dec. 9, 1962.
Michael was a farmer. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church here, and the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star at Morley. He was a member of Scott City Bank board for many years and past president and member of Kelly High School Board of Education.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bob Michael of Commerce, Joe Lee Michael of Sikeston; two stepdaughters, Patti Garrison of Harrisburg, Saundra Johnson of Benton; three sisters, Mauveline Pankey of Blytheville, Ark., Lila Rubel of Scott City, Claryce Hooper of Licking; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.
