Robert Bom

BENTON, Mo. -- Robert Dale "Buddy" Bom, 84, of Benton died Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Commerce, Missouri, to Letcher A. and Margaret Ellen Wise Bom. He married Loretta Jean Shively on Feb. 14, 1959, in East Prairie, Missouri. She preceded him in death April 22, 2012.

He was an accountant and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by four sons, Charles Bom of New Madrid, Missouri, Robert L. Bom of Farmington, Missouri, Daniel Bom of Sedalia, Missouri, and Tedie Hill of East Prairie; a daughter, Sonya Allen of Benton; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by twin sons, Terry and Gary Bom, and two brothers, Herbert And Charles Bom.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton. Burial will be at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
