BLOOMFIELD - Robert "Bob" Poeppelmeyer of Bloomfield died Friday, Aug. 27, 1991 at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was 67.
He was born at East Prairie on Aug. 20, 1924 to the late Ernest and Gertrude Hurley Poeppelmeyer.
Poeppelmeyer retired as a farmer and had spent most of his life in Bloomfield. An Army veteran of World War II, Poeppelmeyer was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield and the Bloomfield American Legion Post.
On June 30, 1962, he married Wilda King, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Ronda Petzoldt of Maplewood; a step-son, David Swindell of Bloomfield; two brothers, Jim and Bill Poeppelmeyer, both of Bloomfield; two sisters, Ellen Fleurdely of Owensboro, Ky. and Mary Miller of Charleston; and two grandchildren.
A sister, Pauline Poeppelmeyer, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be held today in Bloomfield at 2 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield will officiate.
Burial will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
