ROBERT BENZ

JACKSON -- Robert "Bobbie" Benz, 35, of Jackson, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 11, 1957, in Murphysboro, Ill., son of Daniel A. and Dorothy Faye Hogg Benz.

Benz was a cook at Griffins Cafe and Spirits in Cape Girardeau, and a welder at Lee-Rowan Co.

Survivors include his father of DeSoto, Ill.; two brothers, Daniel Benz Jr. of Sarasota, Fla., Vern Benz of DeSoto, and a sister, Faye Bean of Murphysboro.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, Ill. The Rev. Danny Boyd will officiate, with burial in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
