Robert Arnold Ward, 56, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born in Cape Girardeau May 15, 1943, the son of Leroy and Norma Ruebel Ward. He had worked as a cab driver for Kelley Transportation for more than 33 years.
He was a member of SEMO Red Alert, a civil defense organization, and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two sons, Frank and James Ward, both of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Louise Stauffer of Rockford, Ill., Brenda Borgfield and Mary Jane Meyer, both of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and a close friend, Shirley Erlbacher of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Steven Sander officiating. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery.
