EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Robbie Helen Gregory of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Fred Girdwood will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gregory, 83, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 4, 1915, in the Millar community near East Prairie, daughter of Robert H. and Clara Russell Fisher Bryan. She and Louis Gregory were married Aug. 12, 1940. He died July 7, 1963.

Gregory lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a landowner, partner in the former Davis and Gregory Cotton Gin, and had been an accountant for the Sikeston Regional Center for Developmentally Disabled.

She was a member of First Christian Church and secretary of the Sunday School 20 years. She was active in the Women's Improvement Club, served on the East Prairie Housing Authority Board 16 years.

Survivors include a son, Richard Gregory of East Prairie; two sisters, Leslie Phillips of Kissimmee, Fla., Julia Robbins of Hot Springs, Ark.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two grandchildren.
