Rita Agnes Wahl, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born April 5, 1932, in Scott County to Fridlion and Agatha Glueck Westrich.
She and Charles R. Wahl were married June 6, 1953, in Kelso, Missouri. He preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1990.
Rita was a member of St. Mary Cathedral, Cathedral Ladies and The Ladies Sodality.
Her grandkids were her life.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy McCormick of Cape Girardeau and Susan (Rick) Janet of Kansas City, Missouri; son, Jeff (Diana) Wahl of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Amber McCormick (Matt) Gossage and Kyle (Lindsey) McCormick of Jackson, Damien (Shannon) Janet of Kansas City, Missouri, Clare (Brian) Roustio of St. Louis, Sam and Ben Janet of Kansas City and Morgan and Jarad Wahl of St. Louis; and three great-grandchildren, Bradley McCormick, Jonathan Janet and William Roustio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bradley Wahl; son-in-law, Gary McCormick; three adult brothers and one infant brother; one infant sister; and a grandson, Jonathan Janet.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Allan Saunders and the Rev. Mike McDevitt officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
