CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral mass for Rita Rose Hartmann of Cairo was held Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiated, with burial in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.

Barkett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hartmann, 96, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1993, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born April 18, 1896, in Cairo, daughter of Theodore and Catherine Kennedy Lehning. She married William F. Hartmann, who died in 1968.

Hartmann was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Rita Hartmann of Cairo; two sons, Harry Hartmann of Villa Ridge, James Hartmann of Cairo; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.
