Rita Hinkebein

ORAN, Mo. -- Rita Clara Kieffer Hinkebein, 88, of Maryland Heights, Mo., fortified with the sacraments of holy mother church, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at her home with family and friends by her side.

She was a native of Oran.

She was the beloved wife of the late Urban J. Hinkebein; dearest mother of Joan (Joe) Scarpace, Ellen (Tom) Williams, Susan (Ren) Kozikowski, Vivian (Joe) Moriarty, Mark (Christine) and Bridget Hinkebein; dear grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of three; sister of Ethel Massmen, Sr. Jane and Sr. Helen Kieffer, and the late Adelle Trost, Ted, Paul and Mary Emma Kieffer; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Ann, Mo.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
