Rickey Katt, 66, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Frohna, Missouri, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022. He was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Perryville, Missouri, to Elmer and Marie Weinrich Katt. Rickey Katt, 66, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Frohna, Missouri, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022.

He was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Perryville, Missouri, to Elmer and Marie Weinrich Katt.

Rick was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran Grade School in Frohna and Perryville High School. He attended State Technical School of Missouri at Linn, Missouri, briefly worked in Texas and was then employed more than 35 years at KFVS12 in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and was a former member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

He is survived by a brother, Rodney (Gina) Katt of Frohna; Gina's son, Justin Owen (fiancee, Linda Doucet) of Jackson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Janet Hopkins will conduct the funeral at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home. Interment is private at Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
