Rickey Dean Gockel, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at Ratliff Care Center. He was born July 18, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to Marvin E. "Pete" and Laverne Springer Gockel. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include his sister, Rhonda (Jerry) Neels of Cape Girardeau; nephews, Bradley (Amy) Neels, Darren (Lindsey) Neels and Trevor (Teagan) Neels; and great-nieces and -nephews Reese, Samuel, Tarren and Thomas Neels...

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sondra Fitzpatrick, on Sept. 1, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Maske officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
