Rickey Wayne Brown, 55, of Scott City passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Kelso, Missouri, son of Otis Elmer and Shirley Ann Koeberl Brown. He and Angela Dawn Grubb were married June 9, 1991, in Illmo. Four daughters were born to this union and, while they are no longer married, their love and devotion to their daughters continued.
Rickey worked for the City of Cape Girardeau for 22 years driving a tanker truck for the Public Works Department. He loved the outdoors and watching NASCAR. Rickey was an excellent bowler, bowling several 300 games and competing in several tournaments. He loved to make people laugh. He lived his life for his daughters; he truly loved his family.
Loving survivors include his father, Elmer Brown of Scott City; ex-wife, Angela Brown; four daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Goodman of Cape Girardeau, Heather Brown and her fiance, Darren Cook, of Fredericktown, Missouri, and Melissa and Riley Jane Brown, both of Scott City; and three sisters, Rhonda Brown of Scott City, Teresa (Carl) Brawley of West Plains, Missouri, and Sandy Brown of Scott City.
Rickey was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Brown.
A memorial visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
