As a devoted father, Rick's pride and joy were his children, Lisa and Eric. Rick married Debbie on April 6, 1990. He and his children, Lisa and Eric, joined with Debbie and her children, Sina and Clayton, and they made their home together in Cape.

Rick was so proud of this city, where he grew up and enjoyed serving his community. He was an active member of Cape West Rotary from 2001 to 2015, where he served in several capacities, as well as providing some amazing programs for their meetings. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where he served as treasurer.

Rick was well known for his humor and the stories he could pull out of his memory bank. He had a knack for keeping his audience entertained as he reminisced about the past with long-forgotten details and songs from the 1960s. He was an integral part of the Class of '68, who has, to this day, remained his close and strong friends.

Rick is survived by Debbie Ebaugh, his wife of 29 years, and their four children, Eric, Lisa, Sina and Clayton. Eric lives in Moses Lake, Washington. Lisa and her significant other, Chuck Madden, reside in Cape Girardeau with Lisa's children, Keegan and Addie Kate.
