Richard Welsh

PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Richard D. Welsh, 63, of Perryville died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 31, 1944, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., son of Dick and Hazel Crain Welsh.

Welsh was a retired law enforcement officer. He was a member of River Hills Eagles Aerie.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Huff of Piedmont, Mo.; a son, Jeffrey Welsh; two brothers, Jack and Bill Welsh of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Powell of Poplar Bluff; his fiancee, Shirley Penrose of Perryville; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Chamness officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
