Richard Arthur Washburn, 63, of Scott City died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Aug. 8, 1951, in St. Louis, to Leonard Arthur and Arletta Stull Washburn.
Richard worked at Do It Best Corp.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his mother, Arletta Washburn of Scott City; a brother, John (Donna) Washburn of St. Peters, Missouri; two sisters, Kay Holder and Leanna (Derrick) Dale of Scott City; nephews, Jeff (Kim) Holder, Nick, Daniel and Jonathan (Amy) Washburn and Joey (Tricia) Dale; a niece, Jennifer (Tom) Dozier; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Chloe, Caleb and Austin.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors.
